Victorian walnut double pier cabinet
Circa mid 19th Century a beautiful Victorian Walnut side or Pier Cabinet. This two door example in figured walnut features excellent foliate marquetry inlay to the frieze, canted corners and the panel between the doors. The marquetry is especially good being in several colour tones including greens. Further embellishments take the form of ormolu classical maidens with foliate mounts and key escutions.Very capacious, with beautiful soft apple green silk interior having been relined. Presented in beautiful original condition, this is a wonderful example of a large antique Victorian Pier Cabinet.
