BRACKET CLOCK c.1815
Bracket clock c.1815 by Charles Wiggitt of York, with arched brass and silvered dial and strike/silent feature. The eight day striking movement is strongly built with twin fusees, heavy baluster pillars between the plates and unusual cantilevered crutch arm. The movement backplate and pendulum bob are profusely engraved. The clock is signed on the silvered strike/silent plate and also on the back of the movement. All contained within mahogany case with good solid brass carrying handle to top. Good original condition.
