James Webb - Frome
A rare early white dial longcase/grandfather clock.
The 8 day duration movement striking the hours on a bell. The 12" arched Wilson white dial showing both seconds and date and with moonphase feature to the arch. The mahogany case with long trunk door over a plain base with ogee feet. The hood with brass capped angle pillars and swan neck top with original carved paterae.
Note: James Webb of Frome is listed as working from 1760 – 1814.
